
super-interesting! is firmly committed to social, political, and environmental responsibility. as such, we are convinced that green design, architecture, and business practices are not simply trendy, good ideas but critical for any possible sustainable world. we make smart design, planning, sustainable technologies and energy efficiency a primary and early focus of all our projects.
our projects at barnard college emphasize daylighting, recycled and local materials, and energy efficiency. green(e) roof explores how urban homeowners can collaborate to confront larger issues like power distribution and stormwater management while creating a beautiful city oasis. audre lorde project is our first step at forming a different type of practice, one that works directly with community activists who believe, as we do, that social justice and environmental rights go hand-in-hand.
john is a designer on the new tv series The Ecozone Project, and he is currently a MBA candidate in sustainable business at the bainbridge graduate institute. kian teaches sustainable design at parsons the new school for design. we also realize that this is a fast developing and complex field, and our team often relies on the expertise of friends and colleagues - scientists, engineers, landscape architects - who are extensively involved in these issues.
